The Foundation funds only organizations and projects that meet our mission of enhancing the health of the residents of eastern Idaho. Listed below are the guiding principles for funding.
♦ Applying organization must be non-profit, as defined by the IRS.
♦ We invest in organizations with exceptional past performance.
♦ We invest in organizations with well thought out plans on growing and expanding their mission.
♦ We invest in organizations that are currently and historically well supported by the community and their constituents.
♦ We invest in organizations that have 25% or more funding in place for their project/program.
♦ Projects/programs that build capacity for a healthy community.
♦ Projects/programs that have a wide scope of impact and effect many people in the community.
♦ Projects/programs that expand access to health care.
♦ Projects/programs that focus on prevention of health problems.
♦ Projects/programs that expand/enhance health education.
♦ Projects/programs that have a creative approach to health issues.
